The sunset last night is beyond words! Enjoy this photo snapped by my good friend with a stunning view of the sunset from La Jolla cove. Only in our beautiful city do we get to enjoy sunsets like this!

Little Known Places in San Diego!
While searching for ideas of places to explore in my native San Diego, I came across this site that shares some little known places in San Diego. Some of them I've been to or heard of before.. but its a great reminder of the amazing places we can visit in our home town!
Five Unknown Spots in San Diego
Five Unknown Spots in San Diego
Coronado- San Diego's Forgotten Treasure!
Coronado has a special place in my heart because it is where
I got engaged! Sometimes I think the beauty of Coronado is forgotten by San
Diegans. From the initial drive over the Coronado Bridge to the beauty and magnificence
of the Hotel Del, Coronado is one of the most beautiful places in San Diego.
The heart of Coronado offers quality restaurants and fun little boutique shops.
It’s a great place to spend an afternoon with your friends or significant
other. After you’ve spent all of your money on food and fun, take a stroll
along the dunes (which in case you didn’t know spell out Coronado!)
This time of year is especially wonderful In Coronado. Have
you ever thought about Ice Skating right next to the sand? It may seem crazy
but the Hotel Del performs Miracles in December. It can be pricy so if you are
there on a budget it is just as fun to watch as it is to skate. Take a walk
inside the hotel del and experience the beautiful architecture of the interior
accented by a beautifully decorated Christmas Tree. Coronado is definitely the “Crown”
of San Diego.

Old Town Fresh Tortillas!
Old Town is one of my favorite places in San Diego. Not only
is it a great place to learn about San Diego’s History but it has some of the
best eateries around! Located right across from the historic Whaley House is
the Old Town Mexican Café. When you walk to the store front you are greeted by
the smell of corn and flour. Take a quick peek inside and you can watch the
tortillas being made fresh! You can stop in and sit down for a tasty meal or take
your fresh tortillas to go. Old Town has so much to offer. Take some time to go down and explore for yourself.

Mission Trails
If you are looking
for a nice distraction go to Mission Trails Regional Park, this park is a
hidden gem in the middle of suburbia. This oasis from the hustle and bustle
offers lots of hiking, biking, horse riding trails and rock-climbing. Each of
those activities comes with spectacular views. I would recommend you start at
the Visitor Center. The staff is very friendly and the center offers a wealth
of information. This is a great park to visit. So if you are looking for a time
out from the daily routine pick up a map and enjoy your day at Mission Trails
Regional Park.
Motorcycle Ride!
The weather this past weekend was beautiful. Took a bike
ride on the back roads in and out of Julian we had some apple pie at the famous
Moms Pies, bought my favorite candy at Candy Basket, and we visited lake Cuyamaca. It was the perfect day for a bike ride. Can’t wait for The weekends to come to explore other
roads San Diego has to offer.
